Junior Daric Whipple and senior Emma Saddoris turned in Top-8 performances in the second day of the coed 3A State Track and Field Meet at Drake Stadium in Des Moines.
Whipple placed sixth in the 400 m hurdles with a time of 55.29 seconds, just less than two seconds behind the winning time. Emma Saddoris placed seventh in the long jump with a leap of 16′ 3-1/4″. Boone senior Bailey Schminke won with a jump of 18′ 1-1/4″.
